Conlee Turns 2...and Gets a Haircut!

Happy 2nd Birthday to my sweet baby girl! May 23 was the big day, but we've already established I'm super far behind on my blog posts! I cannot believe she is two years old. The time has flown! We started her big day with balloons and donuts...two of her favorites!

It was so funny watching her blow out the candles. It never occurred to me she wouldn't know what to do, but she didn't. She tried to touch the flame, which of course freaked me out. She eventually got it after I explained it, though!

Sharing a balloon with her sister. She's so thoughtful and aware of Reece. I love watching them together!

In the afternoon after naps, we headed to Pigtails and Crewcuts to get her 1st haircut!

Nanny and Reece with a front row seat for Conlee's haircut

Pops came and met us too...it was a family affair!

I was really worried at how she would act, but she did great. I guess if you give anyone enough suckers they'll behave!

We told her before she got in the seat that if she was a good girl, she could pick out a toy. I figure it's a reward and not a bribe if you offer it before there's any bad behavior! She did great, and she picked out a big orange dinosaur!

Happy girl with her new 'do and her daddy!

Off to a birthday dinner at Cheeburger Cheeburger. She insisted on reading all her birthday cards herself. The Cat in the Hat card from Granddad and EI was a hit!

Chicken nuggets and fries served in a pink cadillac!

Reece thinks Conlee is HILARIOUS!!!

seriously, no one can make her laugh like her sister can!

Conlee and Daddy table dancing for Reece

Best part of the night was the ice cream!

The dress was a mess, and it had to go...but at least the girl still has her bow!

Hanging Out

We've been doing a lot of just hanging out these days. It's hard to go on play dates in a strange town without many friends. Fortunately, Conlee has three live-in play dates: Reece, Jack and Nanny!

"Helping" Nanny plant her flower beds and discovering worms!

She is now obsessed with worms and all things dirt!

Jack is her new BFF. He seriously deserves a medal of some sort of putting up with all of us!

We go on lots of walks to the neighborhood parks

Reece is now loving to swing!

Who says toddlers can't share? Conlee gladly shares ALL her toys with Reece. She just keeps piling them on!

I can't believe they are old enough to sit side by side! They are so cute!

Happy Easter!

He is Risen!

He is Risen, Indeed!!!

We had such a great Easter in Little Rock! Brent, Nanny and I took the girls to see the Easter Bunny, which was a first for both of them. They both did great, and were big fans as you'll see below. Then, after church on Sunday we had the Parish family over for an Easter egg hunt and a dinner with Granddad and Kay, too. Fun times with fun family!

Conlee was less than thrilled that the chocolate was gone out of her egg!

Great Granddad feeding Reece. He gives her a bottle every chance he gets. I love seeing them together...she loves him!

Let the hunting begin...Conlee was so serious about her egg hunting mission, she couldn't even take the time to set down her milk!

Rowyn and Conlee having a big time hunting for their eggs!

Once Conlee figured out there was chocolate in each egg, she was done hunting and all about the eating!

Deidra and Thatcher

I'm so ready for this no smiling phase to be OVER!

Nanny with Reece and Thatcher...again, they are such a cute pair!

Off to see the Easter Bunny!

The girls were huge fans!!!

Austin Adventures

After a fun-filled week in Houston, we headed to Austin for more of the same! Good times with GIgi and Paps and all our Austin friends!

The swing in Gigi's front yard is always a huge highlight of our trip. This time Reece got in on the action too. She was loving every minute of it, though Conlee wasn't too thrilled with sharing!

Reece swinging for the first time!

Reece meeting Uncle Tyler. He could be a baby whisperer..both girls love him!

Reece with Paps and meeting cousin, Joe. So fun seeing him and meeting Candice. We're looking forward to a fun Thanksgiving with them!

The Fraziers had us over for dinner one night. Conlee loves Audrey, and they had the best time playing together! Not sure why Conlee is eating half-naked...oh well!

Brent with all the girls! I can't believe Courtney and I both have 2 girls so close in age. We sure hope to end up in Austin so we can play with those Frazier girls all the time!

Sweet Charlotte Frazier! Love her...look at those beautiful brown eyes! She looks just like her sister!

Reece is only 6 weeks older than Charlotte. They'll be good buddies for sure!

We went to the Austin Children's Museum with Gigi and the Frazier girls. Gigi and Conlee had a big time in the kitchen!

Courtney & I with the little ones

Reece and O'Kelley meeting for the first time. I love that we got to spend some time with my favorite friends!

Abby & Ashley Ford with John and Johnny Barsdale. Two of our San Diego friends who relocated back to TX a few years ahead of us!

John, Gillian and Johnny Barksdale!

My camera died while we were out at dinner, so I didn't get many great pics...but we were also with the McIntyre and Frazier families. So many fun friends!
