These Boots Are Made For Walking!

Ok, so there are no boots...yet! But, this girl is WALKING! She's wobbly and definitely not consistent, but she took 5 steps on this video and then set a record at 7 steps...of course those were not caught by the video! Brent and I were so excited, and Conlee was pretty proud of herself too. I'm so glad we were both at home to see her take off...such a fun little family moment! Oh, and you better believe the boots will be purchased shortly...along with the heels, the flats, the flip flops, the tennis shoes...I'd say every shoe in every color in her size!

Conlee and Charlie Do Lunch

Conlee and I had lunch with Amy & Charlie last week, and Charlie was such a gentleman! After sharing a plate of spaghetti (sorry for the mess, Amy!), Charlie decided to take Conlee for a ride around the restaurant. They are precious!!!

Swim Lessons!!!

Conlee and Mia started their swimming lessons this week, and they are LOVING them! We go twice a week to Murray Callan Swim School, and these two little girls will be swimming like fishies in no time! Today was actually our second lesson, but it was the first time Brent and Matt were able to join us. Seeing as how I have to get in the water with Conlee, this was also our first opportunity for pictures. Brent took over 400 pictures during our 30 minute lesson...I'm not even kidding! So, while I did post a ton of pictures here, it could have been way worse...like 385 more pictures, worse!

The girls and their daddies in front of the swim school

There are 3 kids total in our Wednesday class and only Conlee and Mia in our Saturday class. It's so great because they get such one-on-one attention from their instructor, Erin.

Conlee giving Aunt Ali a high 5!

Conlee and Mia both love Erin, their teacher. She's so sweet and really great with them...

Conlee giving Erin a high 5 after she's just put her head under water. Today was the first day they went all the way under. Both girls loved it! They were so great and did so well!

Swimming to mommy!

Yay! She made it!

I'm so thankful that she loves the water!!!

Friday Afternoon at the Park

Today we spent the afternoon at the park with Courtney, Audrey, Holly, Ali, Mia & Shane. It was such a pretty day, and it makes me happy for the upcoming summer and all the fun we'll have outside!!!

She's definitely a quick crawler! She was all over the place, and she really wanted to be on the soccer field with the big kids. Soon enough, sweet Conlee!

She's so close to walking! She'll walk around forever holding my hands, and she's repeatedly taken 1 step before immediately falling on her face! Hopefully in the next month or so she'll be on the move!

And Baby Makes 4!

We are so excited to announce that Baby Hodges #2 is on his or her way! Conlee will be a big sister the first week of November, and you can see by the look on her face that she can't wait! Please keep our little family in your prayers for a healthy pregnancy and baby!

mmm, spaghetti!

Conlee's new mealtime favorite...she shovels it in by the hand full!

Mia Spends the Night!

What's one more benefit of living across the street from your best friend? Slumber parties! Matt & Ali went to a wedding in Coronado on Saturday night, and we had the pleasure of keeping Mia while they were gone. The girls play so well together, and it's so much more fun now that they are getting older and can do more things. Here are a few pics from our fun time together!

Conlee explaining to Mia how great it is to stand up...

Conlee trying to "help" Mia stand up! She did this repeatedly, and it cracked me up everytime!

Yay! Now that we're both up here, let's move on to bigger and better things...

...like plotting our escape out the front door!

Sorry girls...I'm on to you, and this door is staying locked. At least until you're both 21!

Slumber Party Videos

Our slumber party wouldn't be complete without a few videos of our weekend. Here the girls are playing and in the bath. They are too cute! I think I took about 15 videos, but I'll only post these two here...I think Ali and I are the only ones who would care to view them all! :)

A Day In The Life...

It sure is getting exciting around here! Conlee is going to take off walking any day, I think. She currently spends her time walking in circles around her music table, excersaucer, the ottoman, the couch...really anything she can. She actually took a step the other day from Brent to me. We couldn't believe it, and we screamed and got so excited that we scared her and she fell down! Anyway, these videos are probably not interesting to anyone but her grandparents, but we just can't believe how big she's getting!

And, we can add "always lock the back door" to my list of things to do. When I saw her turning the knob, I about died! How is she this tall already?!?

He is Risen, He is Risen Indeed!

"Jesus said to her, 'I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die.'" John 11: 25-26

Happy Easter! What a wonderful day. I am always in awe of God at Easter, but perhaps never more than this year now that I have my own child. Can you imagine the sacrifice?! Thank you, Lord, for sending your Son to die so that we might live!

Here are a few pictures from our Easter weekend. We had a wonderful brunch this morning with the Fraziers: Courtney, Mark & Audrey and also Mark's brother, Willie, and his fiance, Sam. It was so great to spend the morning together. I didn't get as many pictures as I would have liked, but here are a few!

Audrey and Conlee thoroughly enjoyed the kiddie table! Well, really we let them sit with us, we just thought this was a cute photo op!

On Saturday afternoon we headed over to the Clark's house for an Easter egg hunt. We got there a little late because of Conlee's nap, but she still managed to find a few Easter eggs for her cute little basket!

The Easter Bunny made an appearance at the party. Mark, I mean the Easter Bunny, was such a trooper despite the mix of frightened and fascinated kiddos. Conlee just kept staring at him so confused! ha!
